Can you use a CP Plus camera for daycare parent viewing?

CP Plus is the most common CCTV brand in Indian preschools and daycare centres, and most of its professional IP cameras, NVRs, and DVRs are built on Dahua hardware. That means they speak the same standard RTSP/ONVIF that CareCam pulls, so if your centre already has CP Plus installed, there is a good chance you need zero new cameras. CareCam pulls a live substream; your NVR or DVR keeps recording exactly as before.

Analog HD setups work too, through the recorder rather than the cameras. CP Plus DVRs expose each channel as an RTSP stream, so even coax-wired analog cameras can usually feed parent viewing without rewiring. Send us the DVR model number and we'll confirm.

Two caveats. First, many CP Plus units default to H.265, which breaks playback on iPhones; the fix is setting the substream to H.264, which we walk through during setup and which does not affect your recordings. Second, the consumer Ezykam WiFi line is app-and-cloud based and generally has no usable RTSP stream, so it is not suitable for parent viewing. Stick to the professional IP or analog HD lines.

Because CP Plus shares Dahua's streaming stack, it also shares Dahua's occasional quirk: some units drop offline intermittently under on-demand streaming at higher connection counts. Enabling the substream avoids most of it, and existing installs generally run fine.
