    CareCam guides you through connecting the compatible cameras you already have. You don't need to be technical, and we're on email and phone the whole way.

    You choose classrooms and viewing hours

    Decide which cameras parents can access and when streaming is available. Give rooms names parents recognize: "Infant Room", "Toddler Room", "Pre-K".

Questions daycare owners ask before getting started

Will we need new cameras?
Not necessarily. If your existing IP cameras support RTSP streaming, CareCam can usually use them as-is. Tested brands include Hikvision, Anpviz, UniFi, and Hanwha. Tell us your camera or NVR brand and we'll confirm compatibility before you commit to anything.
Will parents see every camera?
No. Your center approves each parent and assigns only the classrooms their child attends. Office, hallway, and unassigned cameras are never visible to parents.
Can parents share a camera link?
There are no public viewing links. Every parent signs in to their own approved account, and streams are private and login-gated. Nothing can be forwarded or opened without an account your center approved.
Can we limit viewing hours?
Yes. You set the viewing schedule per classroom, and outside those hours the stream is off. Most centers match their operating hours, for example weekdays 7am to 6pm.
Do parents pay?
No. CareCam is free for parents. The center's monthly plan covers unlimited parent accounts, with no per-family fees.
Are we locked into a contract?
No. Center plans are month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. There is no long-term contract.
How long does setup take?
Connecting CareCam normally takes a few hours once compatible camera access is available. Most centers launch within about a week of signing up, depending on their network and parent onboarding.
How much does a daycare camera system cost?
CareCam Center plans start at $99/month for up to 8 cameras. If you already have compatible IP cameras, the software subscription is your only cost. New IP cameras typically run $40–$200 each if needed. See our pricing page for a full breakdown.
Can parents record or screenshot the stream?
CareCam does not offer recording for parents. The stream is live-only. Screen recording outside the app may be technically possible but violates CareCam's terms and most center enrollment policies.
Do parents need to download an app?
No. Parents can use any browser, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, to log in and watch. iOS and Android apps are available for a better experience but are optional.
What is a daycare camera system?
