Does Virginia require cameras in daycares?
Virginia has no statewide mandate requiring daycare cameras. Centers may use them with disclosure; recording is lawful where the person is a party or one party consents.
Audio recording in Virginia: One-party consent
Virginia is a one-party consent state for recording conversations. Even so, classroom audio is sensitive and rarely worth the exposure.
The simplest compliant default: video only
